Financial Services & Retirement Planning for a Secure Future
Helping You Make Better Retirement Decisions
The financial stakes are never higher than they are in retirement. Most people spend 30 to 40 years building their retirement savings, but very little time planning how to turn those savings into a lifetime of income. During your working years, financial mistakes can often be corrected. You have another paycheck, more years to save, and time to recover.
Retirement is different.
Once your paycheck stops, your margin for error becomes much smaller. Decisions about when to retire, how much you can safely spend, taxes, Roth conversions, Social Security, Medicare, investments, and withdrawals can affect your lifestyle for decades. You only get one retirement. Our goal is to help you make the most of it.
Comprehensive Retirement Planning
Your Retirement Roadmap
Every successful retirement begins with a plan. Before making recommendations, we take the time to understand your complete financial picture, your goals, your concerns, and the lifestyle you want to enjoy throughout retirement.
Using that information, we establish a baseline and build your personalized Retirement Roadmap with customized recommendations designed around what is most important to you. For many clients, one or two well-informed decisions can have a meaningful impact on retirement. Whether it’s reducing lifetime taxes through Roth conversions, improving retirement income, optimizing Social Security, avoiding unnecessary Medicare premiums, or making smarter withdrawal decisions, thoughtful planning often creates value that extends well beyond the planning process itself.
Your Retirement Roadmap is designed to help you improve your retirement, avoid costly mistakes, and make informed financial decisions with confidence.
If You Haven’t Retired Yet
- When is the earliest I can retire?
- Should I retire now or work another year?
- What if I’m forced to retire unexpectedly?
- How much can I safely spend in retirement?
- Am I financially ready for retirement?
If You’re Already Retired
We’ll determine whether your current retirement plan is missing opportunities to improve your retirement.
- Could you safely spend more?
- Are you paying more taxes than necessary?
- Should you consider Roth conversions?
- Could you create more tax-free retirement income?
- Is your investment strategy still appropriate?
- Is your withdrawal strategy still the best approach?
- Could you leave more to your children or grandchildren while reducing unnecessary taxes?
- Is your retirement prepared for another major market correction, higher inflation, or lower interest rates that reduce retirement income?
Every Retirement Is Different
Some clients want to retire as early as possible. Others want confidence that they can continue enjoying retirement without worrying about running out of money. Some are focused on reducing taxes. Others want to buy a vacation home, help children or grandchildren financially, leave a larger legacy, travel the world or simply make better financial decisions throughout retirement. Whatever is important to you becomes part of your Retirement Roadmap.
Retirement Tax Planning
Taxes are often one of the largest expenses you’ll face during retirement. Our goal is to help you maximize after-tax retirement income while reducing unnecessary taxes for both you and your family.

Investment Management
We don’t build your retirement around your investments.
We build your investments around your Retirement Roadmap.
Every investment recommendation is designed to support your retirement income needs, tax strategy, and long-term financial goals.
Ongoing Retirement Management
Creating your Retirement Roadmap is just the beginning.
Retirement isn’t “set it and forget it.” Markets change. Inflation changes. Interest rates rise and fall. Tax laws change. Your goals change. Life changes.
If you choose to continue working with Creative Financial Group, we’ll provide Ongoing Retirement Management through semiannual review meetings and ongoing access to our team whenever questions or opportunities arise.
As conditions change, we’ll continue evaluating your plan and making recommendations designed to keep you on track.
Sometimes that means recommending additional retirement income because your plan is ahead of schedule. Other times it may mean making temporary adjustments during periods of market volatility, higher inflation, lower interest rates that reduce income from conservative investments, or other changing economic conditions.
Our clients regularly call us before buying a vacation home, helping children or grandchildren financially, making a large purchase, evaluating Roth conversions, making charitable gifts, adjusting retirement income, or simply asking, “How will this decision affect my retirement?”
Our goal isn’t simply to manage your investments. It’s to help you make better financial decisions throughout retirement.
Your Next Step:
Start With a 60 Minute Discovery Meeting
Choosing a financial advisor is an important decision, and we believe it should begin with a conversation, not a commitment. During your Discovery Meeting, we’ll take the time to learn about you, your family, your goals, and what’s most important to you in retirement. We’ll discuss your current situation, answer your questions, and determine whether there may be opportunities to improve your retirement.
We’ll also explain how our Retirement Roadmap works, what you can expect if we work together, and whether Creative Financial Group is the right fit for your needs. If we believe we can add meaningful value, we’ll recommend the next step, a Comprehensive Retirement Plan. And if we don’t believe we can add value, we’ll tell you that too.
Our goal is simple: to help you make an informed decision not to pressure you into becoming a client.

Frequently Asked Questions
What financial services does Creative Financial Group offer?
We specialize in retirement planning for individuals and families with $1 Million or more in investable assets. Our work covers retirement income planning, tax strategy, Roth conversion analysis, Social Security optimization, RMD management, investment management, IRA and 401(k) rollovers, asset protection planning, and estate coordination. These are not add-on services. A tax strategy is built into every plan we create, not addressed as an afterthought.
How does retirement income planning work?
We start by building a complete picture of every income source you will have in retirement: Social Security, pensions, rental income, business income, portfolio withdrawals, and anything else that is part of your financial life. Then we build a withdrawal strategy that sequences income in the most tax-efficient order. That means deciding which account you pull from first, when you convert to Roth, how you time Social Security, and how you structure spending across the three phases of retirement. When it is done right, you may spend less on taxes and more on your life.
What is tax-efficient retirement planning?
Tax-efficient retirement planning means structuring your income, so the IRS takes the smallest legally permissible share of what you have saved. For our clients, the biggest opportunities are usually in the years between retirement and age 73 or 75, when RMD’s begin. That window is when Roth conversions are most powerful. Converting at lower rates now may reduce the risk of larger forced withdrawals and higher taxes later. We also manage asset locations, meaning which investments sit in which account types. We then coordinate all of it with Social Security timing to keep your effective rate as low as possible across your entire retirement.
What is a 401(k) rollover and when should I do it?
A 401(k) rollover moves your employer plan balance into an IRA, typically when you leave a job or retire. Done correctly, it is a non-taxable transfer. Done incorrectly, it can create a significant and unnecessary tax bill. Beyond the mechanics, the rollover decision intersects with your broader tax plan. In some cases, it makes sense to convert a portion of the rollover to Roth at the time of transfer. In others, the timing matters around your income for that year. We walk through the full picture before recommending a path.
How do you manage investment risk?
We build portfolios around what you actually need the money to do, not around a generic risk questionnaire. For retirement clients, that means structuring investments to match the spending phases ahead of you, protecting against sequence of returns risk in the early years when a down market can do the most damage, and maintaining enough liquidity so a bad year in the market does not force a sale at the wrong time. The portfolio is a tool. The plan tells us how to use it.
Can you help with estate planning?
We coordinate closely with estate attorneys to make sure your financial plan and your estate documents are aligned. Common gaps we find are outdated beneficiaries, assets unintentionally left outside a trust, no plan for remarriage, and no protection for inherited assets in the event of divorce. These are not rare scenarios. They are ones that can undo decades of smart financial decisions. We catch them before they become problems.
What makes Creative Financial Group different?
Most financial planning firms treat taxes as a separate department. We treat it as the foundation of everything we do. Our clients typically have between $1Million and $20 million in investable assets. That range comes with specific risks and opportunities that generic retirement advice does not address. RMD exposure, asset protection, Roth conversion strategy, Social Security optimization, and estate coordination all change materially at this wealth level. We have built our entire practice around that complexity.
How does Creative Financial Group charge for services?
We are transparent about fees before any engagement begins. Our compensation structure is tied to the work we do and the assets we manage. Our incentive is to build a plan that works for you, because that is what keeps clients working with us for decades. We will walk through exactly how our fees work before you commit to anything.
